Theology on Tap

Once a month we gather in a casual environment to discuss God and the world (and God in the world). Topics have included: heaven and hell, liberation theology, world religions, evil, how not to speak of God, process theology, body vs soul and more!

We are moving – again! Join us for casual conversation and enjoy food and drinks at Reivers Bar and Grill (1085 S. Gaylord) on Sunday May 21 from 4-6 p.m. As the church engages in reflection around the capital campaign, we will be asking Why Church? What defines a church, what does it add to our life? What is the role of the church in our families? In our world? To begin the discussion, here is a quote to ponder:

“A society whose members are united by the fact that they think in the same way in regard to the sacred world and its relations with the profane world, and by the fact that they translate these common ideas into common practices, is what is called a Church. In all history, we do not find a single religion without a Church.” - Emile Durkheim
