Lenten Worship

Our theme for the season of Lent is fasting. Fasting is one of the ancient practices in this season but instead of giving up chocolate for 40 days we are being asked to go deeper – to encounter the value of fasting as it calls us to renewed perspective, gratitude, and reflection.

This Little Light....

Throughout the season of epiphany we will be searching for the light, that light that illuminates new thoughts or perspectives in the world or in ourselves. We will join the magi as they journey toward the star as we journey through this season, seeking the know God anew. This month we conclude our series on Light. Joins us each Sunday as the light shines in us and around us so that this will shine through us.

February 26: Iona Style Worship led by Rev. John Davidson.

Iona Worship
On Sunday, February 26, Rev. John Davidson will be leading a worship in the style of the Celtic community of Iona. John spent a semester Worshipping and studying at Iona and will bring this style of worship to the Kirk around the theme of “solace” (the Gaelic word for light!). While some of our members and Selena and Jackie will be at the Women’s Retreat, this intimate service will gather the community in new and ancient ways.
