Kirk Staff
Pastor - Reverend Selena Wright
Selena joined the staff of the Kirk in 2014. Selena is a native Coloradoan and Bronco fan who comes to us with 14 years of ministry experience as a Youth Minister, Camp Counselor/Director and Solo Pastor in California, Kentucky and Colorado. Selena holds a Masters of Divinity, from Vanderbilt Divinity School in Nashville, TN, and a Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies from Chapman University in Orange, CA.
She has a deep love for church camp as that is where she heard her call to ministry and also where she met her husband Patrick. They have three young daughters who believe church really is home. In her personal time Selena enjoys playing with her children, crocheting, walking, laughing, learning the guitar, reading (fiction, theology and children's literature), and is currently writing her family's story through digital scrap-booking. Selena writes of ministry, "Ministry is about pushing, challenging, opening individuals, community and culture to acknowledge what we already know, most importantly that love is more powerful than hate or fear or even death. And so we create space for that which already exists, that which we already know, to be revealed among us”.

Director of Music Ministries - Greg Cooke
Raised in Southern California, Greg's wide range of musical and performance experiences bring a high level of diversity to his music direction and ministry. After earning a BA in Music (Vocal Performance and Music Education) from Azusa Pacific University, a private Christian school built from the Wesleyan traditions, he began his career as a professional performer, traveling the world in musical theater and variety entertainment, performing at the Hollywood Bowl with the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra, with Derek Kunzel and the Cincinnati Pops, and the Metropolitan Opera House with the American Symphony Orchestra.
After ten years in that business Greg "settled down" into a career as a high school instrumental and vocal music director. Greg is thrilled and feels so blessed to have found a welcoming congregation that recognizes and celebrates God's unfathomable love and diversity as evidenced by the uniqueness of each part of creation. He is enjoying learning more about and honoring the traditions of the UCC's and Kirk of Bonnie Brae's rich past, while also bringing with him a variety of new musical concepts and ideas. We believe God spoke to us through ancient texts and is Still Speaking in new ways and giving us new understandings. It is equally exciting to explore how God has spoken and continues to speak to us through music!
Accountant - Ellen Campos
Ellen has been a member of the Kirk since 1978 and her two daughters, one a baby and one unborn at the time, were raised in the loving and supportive fellowship of the Kirk. Ellen has served on a number of boards and committees, has sung in the choir since 1979, and has taught Sunday school for middle school youth since 2000.
In 2003, Ellen became the church treasurer and in 2007 added the accountant's responsibilities. While her joys are in singing and in interacting with the youth, being the accountant enables the satisfaction of making sure the Kirk's finances are in order. Ellen is a sociologist, not an accountant, but spent her career conducting social research and using statistics.
Now, in retirement, she enjoys traveling with her husband, Rusty, playing with her six grandchildren who live in Fort Collins, gardening, cooking healthy meals, sewing, and of course, volunteering at the Kirk. For Ellen, the Kirk is a home where she has friends of all ages and walks of life, a place to come to worship in new ways and learn new approaches to our faith, and a way to serve others both inside and outside the church walls.
Custodian - Frank Ross

She is a Colorado native who recently moved back to Denver after spending the last four years studying and teaching music in Western Massachusetts. In her free time, Leslie enjoys playing and teaching clarinet and spending time with her cat, Lady Catherine.
