Faith in Action

Families are being separated at the border and we feel powerless in the face of such injustice. We are called not only to react but to respond. Casa de Paz has been serving immigrants long before this was headline news. They are asking for people to visit immigrants who are detained as they feel alone and isolated. They also need people to transport those who have been released to their facility or to a bus station to help them get one step closer to reuniting with their family. If you are interested, you must first go through their training program.

Another way to support this non-profit is a fundraiser to pay the bail of a mother who is being held at the Aurora ICE facility, so that she can locate and reunite with her children:

"Thousands of families were separated. There is one you can help right now. We are coming together to raise $2,500 bond amount to get a mom out of detention and back with her child, right where they belong. Join us for Happy Hour at Cerveceria Colorado on Friday, July 13th from 4pm - 9pm, for a fundraiser to help parents and children torn apart by family separation. The local brewery will donate 20% of proceeds for the evening to reunite this family."
