Funerals and Memorial Garden

It was the practice of Celtic Christian monks that when one among them died they did not bury the monk in some far off place. Instead they celebrated his life where he lived and he was buried on the monastery grounds, where he encountered God, and to remind them that death is not to be feared, but embraced as a part of life.

The Memorial Garden at the Kirk provides such a reminder - it is a place where some have chosen to be buried - and a space for all to reflect on life, death, faith, and growth.

One need not be buried in the Memorial Garden to celebrate life at a funeral or memorial service. If you would like to make your final plans or are looking for a sacred space to remember a loved one, please call our office at (303) 777-0343.
